CAMPING at GMBR

The campground at GMBR is a vibrant and lively place where pickers delight in making music together all hours of the day and night. There are different areas with different attributes and rules, so please take a minute to review the information below and make a plan to camp in the area that best suits
your needs!

• Camping passes are sold per person, not per site •

• Vehicle passes are required for camping with a vehicle •

CAMPGROUNDS

HUNTER PARK NORTH

Hunter Park camping is divided into north and south sections, both of which are in the thick of the action. The north side is adjacent to the amphitheater and is divided in two, with the top half dedicated to quiet camping. Once the main stage music ends around 11 pm this area settles down for the night. In general, we encourage campers who expect to be up late to steer toward Hunter Park South!

HUNTER PARK SOUTH

If you’re looking to pick or just hang out well into the night then this is the spot for you. This is the largest camping area on the site and is very much the heart of town. There is a designated area along Battenkill Road where generator use is permitted. This campground does not have established quiet hours.

CREEKSIDE AND WOODLAND CAMPING

These two campground areas offer a quieter, more remote, and in some cases shaded camping experience. They are adjacent to the Hunter Park Campground and still a very short walk to the venue. These areas are Tent Camping Only.

CAMPING DEETS

TENT CAMPING

Tent camping is included with your camping pass! Here’s how it works:

  • Our team will do their best to reasonably accommodate those who wish to drive in and drop off their camping gear.

  • Please unload and move your car to the appropriate lot quickly and efficiently.

  • Pro Tip: Park at Dorr Farm and walk your gear in with a wagon!

VEHICLE CAMPING

Anyone camping in a GMBR campground needs both a camping pass and the appropriate vehicle pass (unless you’re parking at Dorr Farm).

<18’ Vehicle Pass – Hunter Park

For vehicles under 18 feet at your campsite. Once parked, vehicles must stay put—no re-entry allowed. If you leave, you’ll need to park in an alternative lot like Dorr Farm or purchase a Riley Rink Vehicle Pass.

>18’ Vehicle Pass

For vehicles over 18 feet (RVs, Sprinter vans, etc.). The same re-entry rules apply—once parked, they stay parked.

  • If you have a towable RV, the RV and the tow vehicle require separate passes.

FYI: No hookups are available, but you can fill water tanks at the rink upon arrival. Just ask a parking attendant for help!

Riley Rink Vehicle Pass

Want the freedom to come and go while staying close to the action? This pass is perfect for you. Vehicles with this pass park at or near Riley Rink but are not permitted in the campgrounds.

Dorr Farm Parking

Free parking is available at Dorr Farm (595 VT-30). It’s just a short, scenic walk to Hunter Park, and vehicles can come and go as they please.

Note: No camping allowed here.

LOAD-IN

To make load-in smooth and fair, here’s what to expect:

  • Arrive at 7:00 AM on Thursday. Bring snacks, water, and patience—you’ll likely spend a good chunk of the day getting settled.

  • The campground opens at 10:00 AM, and vehicles will be queued in the Riley Rink lot.

  • Hunter Park Rd will be closed until 7:00 AM. Don’t arrive early or you’ll be turned away!

  • Please do not line up along Route 7A!

Once gates open, our friendly Block-Spotters will help you find the perfect spot.

CAMPGROUND RULES

  • Camping passes are sold per person, not per site.

  • Everyone (13 years and older) must have a camping wristband.

  • All vehicles in the campground require the correct vehicle pass.

  • No saving space (no ropes, tarps, or other methods).

  • Generators only allowed in designated areas.

  • No pets, open fires, or weapons of any kind.
